Halloween 2009 at Michelle & Maria's : Several of us converged on Michelle and Maria's house this year to help decorate for Halloween. Of course, Maria spent the day in the kitchen whipping up a wide range of delicious treats, so it was a party as well. On top of all that, we met Michelle's parents, Jim and Kaye, for the first time as they arrived at Dulles that afternoon. Jim has always been into elaborate Halloween set-ups, but it had not been so fun for him in recent years in California. It was fun seeing his enthusiasm as well. I wasn't really focused on taking pictures, which is why, to my horror, there are NONE of Michelle's parents?! OMG, I'm so sorry! Well, anyway... here's what I do have.

Brytodd's Mythos Party : A party at the Brytodd's In which guests were encouraged to come as their favorite god, goddess or other mythical creature, or simply a toga. As usual, a lot of thought went into a lot of these costumes! These are all taken with a still-new-to-me 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor lens, so I'm still getting used to the shallow depth of field. As with my other friends' albums, if you are in a picture, then you may do whatever you want with that picture. Dulles Triangles Dance at the Sheraton - August 2009 : Charlie P. had the great idea of trying to hold a DTs dance. Well, a LOT of people showed up, and we had a great time! We had 3 of the rooms in the Sheraton lounge. Each room seemed to get hot and cool down as people came and left. Fortunately, someone had the excellent forethought to make sure we had fans around the dance floor. And the light show -- well, I had fun with that, as you can see! As with my other photos of DT events, despite retaining the copyright, you are granted complete rights to do whatever you want with any picture in which you appear. See you next time!

Bad TV Night - Solid Gold : The theme was Solid Gold at Bryan and Todd's home for Bad TV Night. Ironically, Michael Jackson had died the day before. He featured heavily in the show's top videos of 1983. All of these were taken with a new (to me) toy, a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8 fisheye lens, so this album is that lens' "first light" as well.
